We will be diving at the Glen Beag area on the east side of Clear Lake. It is located about 6 kilometres from the townsite, just past the Wishing Well. We will meet at the dive area on the Saturday morning. More detailed plans will be sent out to those that are attending, once available.

This will be our the dive team’s first time exploring this new site as well, so we can look forward to discovering Clear Lake together. Make sure to bring your compass and dive marker buoy! Please note, we will not have access to a compressor. Please ensure you bring enough tanks for all your dives that weekend!

**To come along, you will need to be a certified open water diver. Each diver must be aware that it is their responsibility to ensure that all of the necessary equipment arrives with them to the dive site, be it owned or rented.

DID YOU KNOW?

Clear Lake is mainly groundwater fed. This adds minerals like calcite to the lake’s water and gives it its distinctive aqua colour. Calcite binds with phosphorus to inhibit the growth of algae, and helps to keep the “clear” in Clear Lake. At its deepest point, Clear Lake is 34m/114 ft deep.
